Sunset: Larry Hendershott

Leslie "Larry" Clarence Hendershottpassed away after his battle with brain cancer on June 8, 2013. He was born February 16, 1941, in Lansing, MI, to Clarence "Buck" and Florence (Best) Hendershott. He was raised in Lansing and also lived in Beulah. He worked for several years at Crystal Downs Golf Course. Later he moved to Lansing to care for his daughter Brenda after her car accident. He was employed as a maintenance man by Bill Conant for over 20 years.
He is survived by 3 daughters: Becky (David) Cole of Elberta; Bonnie Waiser of Beulah; and Brenda Hendershott of Lansing. He is also survived by 2 brothers: Charles (Mary) Hendershott of Elberta; and Raymond (Joan) Hendershott of Beulah; and one sister, Carol Tomlinson of Nashville, MI. Larry is survived by his special friend Ben Ashe of Lansing, MI, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence "Buster" (Lillian) Hendershott, and one sister, Delores Hendershott (who died in 1932). Services were held at the Jehovah's Witness South-West Congregation Kingdom Hall in Lansing on June 16, 2013.A celebration of life for Larry will be held on June 29, 2013, at the Elberta Mini-Pond Park on M-22, beginning at 2 PM.
In accordance with Larry's wishes cremation has taken place. In a special request to his brother Charlie, Larry said he would like everyone to celebrate his memory with food, laughter, fun and LOVE.
